This time, I’m reviewing the most recent sex toy purchase – the Ice Cream Dildo from GemsLittlePinkBox over on Etsy.
So far, my experience with buying toys via Etsy has been pretty good. There are some truly unique designs to choose from. This one just caught my eye as it’s so beautifully sparkly and I didn’t have a dildo that wasn’t phallic in nature. Not that I personally mind, because I fucking love dick, but these styles are great for people who don’t like phallic-shaped dildos. There’s even a very adorable limited edition Pride version of this. Gemma also makes some really adorable squishy silicone butt plugs with a flower design on the end. Actually, one of the best items I’ve seen in the store is the ‘stress vagina’, which also looks extremely squishy.
The first thing I want to mention about this is packaging. It arrived in a luminous purple futuristic style parcel—certainly the first time I’ve ever received something so cheerful-looking. When I tore it open, there were small pastel-coloured paper hearts inside that came pouring out. The dildo was then presented inside a pink satin drawstring bag, which looked great. This beats having to store it in some cardboard box. Initially, the texture is glorious, and most definitely the softest silicone I own as far as sex toys go. If you hold it by the base and wiggle the shaft around, it’s clear exactly how flexible it is. At the same time, it’s really firm. When I wrap my hand around it and try to squeeze, there’s only a tiny bit of leeway with it. The base itself is slightly softer.
Now, I really like the shape of this dildo. For me, it’s still pretty girthy, but at least it’s rounded all over. The most similar dildo in my collection is Charlie, the red dragon dick. While I am in constant awe of Charlie—and it remains to be one of my all-time favourites—there’s only so much I can take in one go. A whole side of it is so spiny that it can start to chafe a little too much after a few minutes. The Ice Cream Dildo, on the other hand, fills me right up, feels intense, and most importantly it doesn’t chafe. The slightly raised nature of the drips also adds another dimension to the overall sensation, and the base is easy to get a grip on to push all the way inside.
I’m a self-confessed squirter at the best of times, and this one really made it happen—as expected. Probably as much as Charlie would, but with less of that awkward, painful throbbing afterwards. Thankfully, there were at least two towels doubled over on the couch to absorb the liquid *ahem* that was absolutely necessary.
Overall, this is a very pleasing item and I highly recommend it!
